I am a LPCC-S (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) and certified EMDR therapist through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), and National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. I own and operate my own private practice, Harshbarger Counseling & Consulting, LLC and I am also employed by the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
I graduated from Walsh University with a Masters of Arts in Counseling and Human Development in 2016. I have over 8 years of experience working in the human service field including work in a correctional facility, with community mental health agency, on a virtual platform, and in a group private practice.
My Approach
My therapy practice focuses on the treatment of childhood trauma and other adverse childhood experiences, complex PTSD, military trauma, LGBTQIA+ specific support needs, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, sexual abuse, and dissociation. I have a passion for working with other mental health professionals and those with developmental and generational based trauma.
I utilize a combination of treatment modalities including EMDR therapy, Ego-state therapy, Attachment Focused approach, Mindfulness-based approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and clinical hypnosis.

I am a certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant in Training through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) under the guidance of Amber Stiles-Bodnar. I have been utilizing EMDR therapy as treatment modality since initially trained in 2016.
